15 E 17th St (between W Union Sq & Broadway) New York, NY 10003
Nasi lemak is a fragrant rice dish cooked in coconut milk and pandan leaf. It’s commonly found in Malaysia, where it is considered the national dish.
Nasi lemak is also popular in Brunei; Singapore, Riau Islands and Southern Thailand. It is commonly consumed for breakfast.
Laut was the first and only Singaporean/Malaysian restaurant I found in New York City. The food is authentic and good. Perfect place for a quick lunch if you’re homesick or curious.
